I let Claude Code loose on a rewrite, converting a basic HTML chat interface into a proper Vue app… and walked away.
Forty-five minutes later, and it’s still going. Twenty-seven tasks completed, five more in the queue, 122,000 tokens burned.

That’s the longest I’ve ever had an AI agent work autonomously on a single problem. No hand-holding, no course corrections. Just a task list and the patience of a machine that doesn’t know it should be tired.
The word in the status bar says it all: Schlepping. Not sprinting. Not optimizing. Just putting one foot in front of the other, hauling code from one architecture to another. Honest work.
